Welcome to the website for MSt Information Services Ltd. This is a one-person company set up by me, Michael Stubbings, by which I provide information assurance and security advice and support.

Not just fear...

The fact that you’re reading this indicates that you are already aware of the need for good quality, appropriate information assurance and security. It is not simply a matter of fear, though the threats are real. Crime, opportunistic or deliberate attack, mistakes, accidents to name but a few threat groups: all can impact on our ability to deliver our products and services, and impact on profit and business survival.

But also trust

Business – and society itself – needs trust in order to function, often trust in people we have never met. An efficient, effective and appropriate information assurance approach is the means for delivering that trust. There are formal ways of demonstrating to the world that we are trustworthy: government accreditation regimes; ISO27001 certifications; PCI-DSS compliance - to name some of the most common. But we also have to demonstrate to our colleagues, employees, partners and customers that we can be relied upon to deliver services and products in full compliance with our obligations in law, our contracts and our codes of business ethics.
